The PYD Studio is a computer based studio running Pro Tools (with the Digi 003 Desk, MOTU 8pre and more). Our studio consists of a band room, a control room and an amp room.


As well as recording opportunities we offer many educational programmes for individuals and school and community groups. We also offer Level 2 and 3 Unit Standards in Music Technology. Please contact for more info.

Introduction to the studio

NCEA performance assessment audio and video DVD

Bring your class into our studio to do all their solo and group performance assessments and have us do all the hard work of preparing the DVD for moderation. We provide all recording equipment and will do all mixing and video editing for you.
