SCHOOL USE

We welcome School groups using Te Koru for school time bookings.  The multi options available mean an exciting and diverse programme can be put together that can mix educational and recreational activities.  It is up to the teaching staff as to how they want to structure their visit to get the best possible value.  Please phone or email the office in the first instance.

Our staff is available for tutoring school groups who want to use our expertise.  Options here include:

1. •Adventure Based Learning - Games and activities are run to assist students to learn to cooperate and work together.  It’s heaps of fun and a positive learning
   
   

2. •Leadership Development - The Champions Programme is specifically for Intermediate students requiring training for leadership roles in the school context.  This is a two day programme, but specific modules can be chosen if a shorter time frame is required.
   
   

COMMUNITY USE

PYD is available for hire by businesses, Government Departments, Schools, youth agencies, community groups, sports teams, Church groups, youth groups, and families.  We have hosted parties, 21sts, FGC’s, community meetings, community days, 40 Hour Famine groups, business/community group trainings, and so on.  The possibilities are endless, so your enquiry and suggestions are welcome.

There is no distinction over who can use PYD.  It is available to all, as it was provided for by the community. 

The buildings and ground are smoke free and alcohol free to ensure the healthiest and safest possible venue.
